Growing up I was never that interested in sports or doing anything physical, I preferred to eat junk food. By 18 I weighed around 60kg always had an interest in martial arts (having done a few years of karate and thai boxing as a child). After passing my driving test I joined The Fusion Kickboxing.
When i turned 20 i went along to a taster session to the local gym with a friend and decided i would make a membership as i wanted to gain some more mass that would aid my kickboxing.
I trained on and off at the gym for 2 years and then decided to take my training seriously; doing as much research as I could and talking to as many people in the industry as possible.
Within 3 years I gained an extra 30Kg bringing myself into the heavyweight category on the kickboxing circuit. I gained a few injuries along the way that set me back in the gym and kickboxing; an incorrect deadlift caused a herniated disc and a football injury caused a dislocated shoulder but after intensive treatment over a couple of years i managed to adjust my training to accommodate the previous injuries and lower the risk of re-injury.
In 2015 my symptoms cleared so i took my dan grade in kickboxing and passed after a 4 hour non-stop assessment. I also decided i wanted to help others with their goals as i had already been doing this in kickboxing for the past few years. I embarked on my level 2/3 in personal training which allowed me to become a fully qualified and insured personal trainer.
